David Parr House, Cambridge
Life and art in a worker’s house

The David Parr House looks on the outside like an average Victorian terraced house - but there is an extraordinary secret inside. No. 186 is the former home of Arts and Crafts decorative artist David Parr - and is full of exquisite paintings and carvings of the quality and style of the grand interiors he worked on during his lifetime.

The Trustees and team wanted to define and articulate what makes this house special and agree what to focus on (and what not to do). We developed a clear proposition together - to discover the extraordinary in the everyday. Their new strategic priorities have given them focus and clarity and have helped them move forward with a new website and visitor centre.

“You were great - spot on. You allowed us time to express ideas but pulled it all together. It was a wonderful feeling to carve out our path through the complexity of our thoughts and knowledge.”
